Recombinant Mouse IL-5 stimulates cell proliferation of the TF-1 human erythroleukemic cell line. The EC50 for this effect is 0.2935 ng/ml.

背景

白介素 5 (IL5) 是由 2 型 T 輔助細胞和肥大細胞產(chǎn)生的白介素。IL-5 是一種長 115 個氨基酸（在人類中為 115 個氨基酸，在小鼠中為 133 個氨基酸）的 TH2 細胞因子，屬于造血細胞因子家族。與該細胞因子家族的其他成員（即白介素 3 和 GM-CSF）不同，這種糖蛋白的活性形式為同型二聚體。長期以來，白介素 5 一直與多種過敏性疾病的病因相關，包括過敏性鼻炎和哮喘，這些疾病中已觀察到循環(huán)、氣道組織和誘導痰中嗜酸性粒細胞數(shù)量大幅增加。鑒于嗜酸性粒細胞（尤其是過敏性哮喘病理）的高度一致性，人們普遍推測嗜酸性粒細胞在該疾病的病理學中起著重要作用。靶向 IL-5 的藥物有美泊利單抗和瑞利珠單抗。
